Neuropsychology Services at Memorial Neuroscience Center

The neuropsychology team provides cognitive and psychological assessment of patients who have neurological illnesses or suffered traumatic injuries that may impact the brain. Our neuropsychologists formally evaluate patient cognition (ability to understand information), as well as the possible effects on higher order thinking abilities. Our psychologists provide psychological support services to patients, and their families, during hospital stays.

Services include, but are not limited to, behavioral pain management, assistance with adjustment to catastrophic injury or disability, supportive therapy, family education, support groups, and community referral. Neuropsychologists work closely with the medical professionals of Memorial Neuroscience Center in the effort to help patients and their families deal with the possible intellectual and emotional impact of neurological illness or injury.
